FUUC Website Dive Site Info
Most sites are well serviced by boat ramps located at West Beach and O'Sullivan's Beach, with many sites also accessible by shore. Most dive sites are in less than 30metres of water, making them ideal regardless of the level of your diving experience - many sites are available to snorkeller's too. The Adelaide metropolitan coast offers a large array of marine life on show. With careful exploration and investigation, you will spot the South Australia's famous Leafy-Sea-Dragon, unique to our waters of Southern Australia. Other life available include Cuttlefish, 'Wobbegong' sharks, Blue Devils, Old Wives, Zebra Fish, and majestic Rays, to name but a few. Air and water temperatures vary significantly depending on time of year and location. Daytime air temperatures range from a warm 40+C in summer (in the far north of the state) to a cool 10C in winter (in the south), while water temperatures range from 24C in summer to 10C in winter. Take your time, explore carefully and you will come away with a rich and rewarding dive experience. Click a link below for your diving spot choice: |
